Locally-grown in San Francisco, Maid Green was started in 2008 to meet the need for a completely green and environmentally-responsible cleaning service with impeccable customer service. Since then, we have continued to delight our customers with our high-quality and eco-friendly cleaning services that focus on the health of you, your family, your pets, and the planet. Maid Green offers something that other cleaning services don’t, we make our own all-natural and highly effective cleaning solution. Inspired by tried and true recipes, our products are made up of ingredients like vinegar, baking soda, borax, castile soap, essential oils and other sanitizing ingredients. Each week, we mix up a fresh batch from scratch in our San Francisco office.

This is not only fully-safe for use in your home, but it allows us to significantly cut down on single-use plastics. What we can’t make ourselves, we make sure is up to par with our green standards.

In addition to using our all-natural and environmentally-responsible cleaning solution, we are very committed to sustainability and strive to reduce, reuse and repurpose wherever we can.

  • Reused plastic shopping bags are used for laundry
  • Cleaning products are made in re-purposed laundry soap buckets
  • We have been using the same caddies since 2008
  • Laundry is done in-house with eco-friendly laundry soap and ‘high-efficiency’ machines
  • We reuse well-worn cleaning cloths for tougher-duty tasks such as cleaning ovens patios

We pride ourselves in our excellent customer service that we work to tailor to each client. Since each home is unique, our process starts with a walk through by our owner, who notes any special needs, cautions and items that require extra attention. Every cleaning goes out with an individualized work order as well as our Extended Cleaning Checklist, so our cleaners always have something to refer back to during the cleaning. This way we guarantee that no surface goes unpolished, and no pesky dust bunnies are left behind.

We give a 100% guarantee on all cleanings when notified in 24 hours. If you noticed we missed a spot, let us know and we will make sure you are satisfied.

We do our own hiring and the cleaners are actual employees who are fully trained to ensure the consistency and quality of our cleaning methods. In addition to extensive training, we pride ourselves in the treatment of our employees. Our cleaners make a living wage and never work more than six-hours in a day. We make sure our employees get to spend time with their families at the end of each day.

We are an insured and bonded company with a physical office, and are available for calls or questions 9-5, Monday through Friday.

 

Giving Back

Our favorite charity is Cleaning for a Reason, which offers women undergoing cancer treatment a number of free cleanings from cleaning companies nationwide. We have been donating free cleanings since 2009.
